Working with women

Changu works with local women. Many of the women rely on charcoal burning as their source of income for their families. Changu says, ‘It’s not easy to mobilize them to stop the act without an alternative income source.’Women have enthusiastically taken on tree planting and together with Changu they are developing an income generation project to grow vegetables for supermarkets.
