School magic - the future belongs to young people; it is impossible without trees.

Changu believes that schools are the best and quickest way to reach out and that the project enables young people to understand that the future belongs to them but is impossible without trees.

In July 2019 Changu started a Climate Change Club. She worked with pupils to collect seeds and together they germinated them. The project started in the science lab which lacked sunlight, making the seedlings weak, and pupils had classes in the same room.

In December, Whalley Range Climate Action Group raised money to buy wire so that the Climate Change Club could build a shelter in the school grounds for their germinating seedlings. They thrived and the school worked with local communities to plant over 12,000 trees in the 2019/2020 rainy season.
