Cream teas in a beautiful garden

Chibombo People's Climate Action (CPCA) is a dynamic grassroots organisation in an area of rural Zambia most directly hit by climate change. It is working hard to reforest and mobilise at least 51% of the community to be climate smart with the support of a friends group in the UK.
Following the success of last year's cream tea fundraiser, we are doing it again to launch our 2022 Fundraising Strategy.
There will be 3 sittings of 1.5 hours for 12 people at 2 tables of 6 at 12.30, 2.30 and 4.30 in Mary and Mel’s beautiful garden in Heaton Moor, Stockport. Minimum contribution £15pp
Book now by e-mailing Mary with your details, numbers and preferred time - marykenny1956@gmail.com. Mary will do her best to give you the time you want. Tea will include something savoury, cake and of course, scones, jam and cream, teas and coffee.
If you’d like to BYO alcohol she’ll make a small corkage charge. All in a good cause!
If the weather lets us down we will have to move inside and will not be able to socially distance.
We will try to accommodate dietary requirements, but we can’t guarantee anything being nut, seed and similar allergens free.

The cream teas will raise money to Fund a microcredit scheme
Some CPCA members are struggling to feed their families which reduces their ability to work for CPCA as they have to do casual work. Changu wants to launch a microcredit scheme which will enable members to make enough money for their families to stay afloat. The scheme will combine loans with training in business skills. Once the initial loans are paid back they can be given to others. £800 will buy 10 loans and training.
£75 will pay for a microcredit loan and enable a member to stay involved in CPCA. We need 10 groups or people to do this

Organise your own fundraiser, however large or small; this is a great way of making more people aware of the wonderful work Chibombo People's Climate Action are doing
Give a one off or monthly donation
Tell other people about our wonderful fundraiser on 3rd July and
Give a donation as a present or to offset your climate emissions.
Could you give £17 a month and keep CPCA going for one day a month? We need another 13 people to do this.
