Seasonal greetings to all our wonderful supporters. We are so grateful to you. We wish you health, happiness, strength and solidarity to overcome the challenges of 2022 whether they be personal or collective.
It should be the rainy season now in Chibombo. However temperatures in the high 30's and crops are burning in the fields. The women have prepared the land to replant as soon as rain arrives. At a recent District meeting, Changu learnt that Chibombo is one of the worst affected Districts by climate change in Zambia. Strict Covid restrictions have also been imposed with concern about the Omicron variant.
This Christmas you can give money for seeds for trees to contribute to Chibombo People's Climate Action's target of planting one million trees in 5 years. Trees have so many functions. In conditions like those described above, trees will be essential in many ways including for shade, fertiliser and in relation to water supply and purity.
